NVIDIA is using Smart City Expo World Congress 2026 to highlight a shift from isolated urban AI pilots toward computing infrastructure shared across public services. Its November 2 announcement describes projects spanning resident assistance, traffic analysis and infrastructure planning.
In Spain, 1MillionBot combines ALIA models from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center with NVIDIA Nemotron and other models. Its service agents support municipal procedures, appointments and enquiries, with more than 150 deployments reported across the country.
In Wrocław, Poland, K2K is building a common AI foundation that analyses existing camera feeds for mobility, safety and event response. NVIDIA says the approach lets different city functions use the same infrastructure rather than creating separate systems for every task.
The company also points to digital twins that help planners compare scenarios before making physical changes. These examples illustrate the breadth of AI applications being presented in Barcelona, although the projects are at different stages of development and should not be treated as a single completed global rollout.
