Smart City Expo World Congress ended its fifteenth edition on November 5 with 29,721 attendees from 140 countries, according to organiser Fira de Barcelona. The event brought 1,276 exhibitors to the Gran Via venue.
The programme included 668 international experts and representatives of more than 1,000 cities. Affordable housing, climate action and mobility were central subjects, with the new HOWS Barcelona summit joining the wider event alongside Tomorrow.Mobility and other specialist gatherings.
For the technology sector, the closing message was about applying and expanding solutions that address identifiable urban problems. The event combined company demonstrations with exchanges between municipal leaders and opportunities for startups to meet public administrations and investors.
The next edition is scheduled for November 2–4, 2027, again at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.
